Last month we celebrated our twentieth birthday. Back in 2001, websites were only just starting to be adopted by schools and were more like a brochure hosted online. Thankfully websites have changed a lot, and they are now our “shop window” and essential for engaging with our communities.
During the last 20 years our own website and branding has also evolved as we have expanded and grown. Our website was last redesigned in 2016, and although we made a number of changes and updates to it since, we felt it was time for a shiny new website to support our future growth plans.
Why now?
Over the last few years, we’ve launched a number of new services such as our communication tools and our website navigation wasn’t structured in a way that made it easy for us to add information about these easily.
As we tell our customers, a new website project is an ideal opportunity to not only update the website structure but also to look at updating the branding and content. And we did exactly that!
What’s new?
Our new look is fresher, bolder and more modern. We’ve retained the original orange colour we’re known for but introduced vibrant secondary colours to help us stand out even more!
Our new website has had a full makeover with an improved user-journey, updated content and additional features including a new case study area showcasing real customer stories. We can’t wait to add more to this over the coming weeks and months so watch this space!
Our developers have also added some great functionality to the back end to make it easier for us to maintain and update in the future. And yes, it’s all been built using our very own Content Management System (CMS).
Check it out!
We love it and we hope you do too!
Even though we’ve launched tens of thousands of new websites during the last 20 years, this project gave us some important reminders about planning, communicating and prioritising.
Check out our blog on the lessons we’ve learnt from going through this process - we hope they help you to plan ahead for your next website redesign project.
